Crushing A Can Without Using Your Hands
We put a few aluminum cans with water inside on an electric burner until the water inside began to boil. We removed one can at a time and quickly put it upside-down in ice water. The rapid temperature change causes the air pressure outside to be much greater than inside and the can crushes.

Thanks to the Peter Kiewit Foundation for the tickets to Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Omaha Community Playhouse. When the girls came back from the field trip, they were inspired to try their own Elvis impersonations. Some of them are actually pretty good.
