SUMMARY:Eureka! Vets Overnight Field Trip: Sandhill Cranes
DESCRIPTION:This Spring Break trip we will be visitors to the Platte River valley in South Central Nebraska. We are going to enjoy the symphony of sounds and dancing rituals of 90 percent of the world’s sand hill cranes. Approximately 500\,000 sand hill cranes stop to gain energy from the fertile lands along the Platte River\, and we will be there to see it! In addition to cranes\, we will have the opportunity to see 10 million ducks\, geese and some neighboring Rainwater Bison. This is a lifelong experience. We will leave on Tuesday\, March 8th and will return on Wednesday\, March 9th. More details will be provided at the mandatory meeting on Tuesday\, February 23rd.
