Description

This course provides an overview of the connections that happen within the forms of maltreatment such as sexual abuse, domestic violence, witnessing animal cruelty, sex trafficking and the impact this has on children leading into adulthood.

Participants will learn:

• How one form of maltreatment can connect to other forms of maltreatment and what impact this has on children and into adulthood.
• What happens in the brain of children who are subjected to the forms of maltreatment.

Discuss available resources available and responding to the impacts of children who experience maltreatment and trauma.
