All Work and No Play Makes Ms. Emily a Dull Girl
After a couple of days of (grueling!) workshops at the Girls Inc. regional conference in Oakland, CA., we got a night off. Board member Marie Roscoe, Ms, Emily, and I took a ferry to Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. There were no onboard workshops on ferry safety.

Making Books at Girls Inc. Regional Conference
Although I spent most of my time at the Girls Inc. regional conference in board development workshops, I did sneak in a brief book making session. This is something I think girls of all ages would love to do. Lots of girl-friendly instruction such as “fold your paper hot dog style” or “fold your paper hamburger style.” Get ready to see blog entries about girls making their own books…

The Apple Song
We sang about the letter A. I remembered the song from last time. “Apple, apple on the tree, I know you are good for me.”

In the Spotlight
I liked performing with 2 Unique Step Team. It made me nervous when Channel 7 was taping us.

Ant & Apple are Yes
We glued the squares and didn’t mess it up and cut the caterpillars and we did some A’s and if it starts with A then put it in the box but not duck, that’s D. And not bike, that’s B. But ant and apple are yes.
