No Haters
Marie, are you giving that girl a migraine? You need to stop hatin’.

Homecoming
It took us a long time to give them our tickets and get in. We took our shoes off right away and checked them. The music was OK. They didn’t have anything to eat though. My dress…it was awesome. There was not one other girl with the same dress. Thank you for the dresses.

Cinderella at the Ball…
Homecoming was really fun. They didn’t have good music. I didn’t know the DJ but the music was like from 94.1 – real old music. Not old people music but songs from long ago. Still, it was fun.
Cierra’s aunt altered our dresses and made us flowers to match. People were looking at us like we were twins.
I wore heels which I don’t normally do and I think I did pretty well. I danced in them for about an hour. Then I took them off!

Our Director of Programs is a Brick House
Ms. Emily, our Director of Programs, won yet another (!!!) weightlifting championship. Here she deadlifted 310 pounds. Look at that mug! Isn’t she fierce?!

Dancing Divas at the Retirement Party
I thought our dance went pretty well. It was a good party. We’re going to miss Ms. CT.

Raytheon Volunteers!
I am excited that female engineers from Raytheon are volunteering with our Lego League team this year. A great partnership inspired by an e-mail from our national office.

First Completed Component for Lego League!
It’s the second day of Lego League and it’s going very well. I am looking forward to the travel and the competition. And we get to build things that not everyone builds. This is not an everyday thing. – Sakira, age 10
I feel good about finishing the first piece. It took a long time but it’s finally finished. -Jade, age 10
Aeronautic Engineers
I taught the girls to build paper airplanes and we had a competition to see whose plane could fly the furthest. The design for the planes is all about balance and centering the mass of the plane. I gave the girls a template for a plane design that has been proven to fly well. I made a plane that was measured carefully and folded very precisely so it was balanced. My plane would go all the way across the parking lot. The girls were very eager to try mine so I offered it as a prize to the girl who won the competition. Lizzie Coleman’s plane went the distance so she won my plane.
